It had a population of 4,283 in 2022, known as Villeneuvois et Villeneuvoises, and is part of the B\u00e9ziers conurbation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Martyred by Simon de Montfort in the 13th century, it was for a time known as \"La Cr\u00e9made\". The commune also includes a Natura 2000 site and two natural areas of ecological interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ideally located, it is 10 minutes from the beaches, close to the A9 and A75 motorways, B\u00e9ziers - Cap d'Agde airport and the TGV train station.
