{"id":949,"date":"2019-04-15T15:44:53","date_gmt":"2019-04-15T13:44:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/?page_id=949"},"modified":"2025-09-02T10:06:47","modified_gmt":"2025-09-02T08:06:47","slug":"marriage","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.villeneuve-les-beziers.fr\/en\/demarches\/le-mariage\/","title":{"rendered":"The wedding"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where can the wedding take place?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The location can be one of the following communes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>that of the domicile or residence of one of the future spouses,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>That of the domicile or residence of a relative of the future spouses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When can marriages be celebrated?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The marriage may not be celebrated before 10 December.<sup>th<\/sup> day following publication of the banns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The day of the celebration is agreed with the Mairie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Documents to be provided :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Full copy of birth certificate\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>dated less than 3 months before the date of the wedding if issued in France<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>dated less than six months before the date of marriage if issued by a consulate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An identity document issued by a public authority<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proof of address or residence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A certificate of celibacy or non remarriage for foreign nationals and a certificate of custom.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Copy of the identity document of witnesses (witnesses must be of legal age; there must be at least 2 and no more than 4)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A certificate from the notary if a marriage contract has been drawn up<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The forms given by the registrar and completed by the future spouses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where can I collect and submit my marriage application?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>At the Civil Status Department at the Town Hall, 1 rue de la Marianne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When can I collect and submit my marriage application?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Applications can be collected every day from Monday to Friday, from 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 5pm.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Full applications can only be submitted by appointment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Deadlines for submitting applications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The complete application must be submitted :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>30 days before the wedding date if the future spouses are of French nationality<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>45 days before the wedding if the spouses are foreign nationals or domiciled abroad<\/li>\n<\/ul>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>O\u00f9 le mariage peut-il \u00eatre c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9 ?
