To deal with a shortage of water resources during low-water periods, prefects are required to take exceptional measures to limit or suspend the use of water in application of article L.211-3 II-1\u00b0 of the Environment Code.
This site presents the suspension or restriction measures taken by the prefects on the basis of data provided for information purposes by departmental government departments. When a general and collective restriction order is issued, it must be posted in the town hall of each municipality concerned and published in regional or local newspapers circulated in the d\u00e9partement.
