Aveva una popolazione di 4.283 abitanti nel 2022, conosciuta come Villeneuvois et Villeneuvoises, e fa parte della conurbazione di B\u00e9ziers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Martirizzata da Simon de Montfort nel XIII secolo, per un certo periodo fu conosciuta come \"La Cr\u00e9made\". Oggi, il suo centro storico conserva ancora molte tracce del suo passato:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>La chiesa romanica di Sainte-\u00c9tienne<\/strong>elencati nell'inventario supplementare dei monumenti storici.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>La torre del castello<\/strong> e i resti dei bastioni medievali.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Il vecchio municipio<\/strong>costruito nel 1780, oggi ospita una sala espositiva.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Un ambiente naturale e una posizione privilegiata<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Attraversata dal Canal du Midi, patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO, Villeneuve-l\u00e8s-B\u00e9ziers offre un ambiente incantevole dove patrimonio e natura si incontrano. Il comune comprende anche un sito Natura 2000 e due aree naturali di interesse ecologico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In posizione ideale, si trova a 10 minuti dalle spiagge, vicino alle autostrade A9 e A75, all'aeroporto di B\u00e9ziers - Cap d'Agde e alla stazione ferroviaria TGV.
