De gemeente telde in 2022 4.283 inwoners en staat bekend als Villeneuvois et Villeneuvoises, en maakt deel uit van de agglomeratie B\u00e9ziers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Het werd in de 13e eeuw gemarteld door Simon de Montfort en stond een tijdlang bekend als \"La Cr\u00e9made\". Vandaag de dag draagt het historische centrum nog steeds veel sporen van het verleden:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>De Romaanse kerk van Sainte-\u00c9tienne<\/strong>opgenomen in de aanvullende inventaris van historische monumenten.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>De kasteeltoren<\/strong> en de overblijfselen van middeleeuwse stadsmuren.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Het oude stadhuis<\/strong>gebouwd in 1780, herbergt nu een tentoonstellingszaal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Een natuurlijke omgeving en een bevoorrechte locatie<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Villeneuve-l\u00e8s-B\u00e9ziers wordt doorkruist door het Canal du Midi, dat op de Werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO staat, en biedt een betoverende omgeving waar erfgoed en natuur elkaar ontmoeten. De gemeente omvat ook een Natura 2000-gebied en twee natuurgebieden van ecologisch belang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Het is ideaal gelegen, op 10 minuten van de stranden, dicht bij de snelwegen A9 en A75, het vliegveld van B\u00e9ziers - Cap d'Agde en het TGV treinstation. Dicht bij B\u00e9ziers ligt het ook op het kruispunt tussen Spanje, de Camargue en de Cevennen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Een levendig en harmonieus plaatselijk leven<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Villeneuve-l\u00e8s-B\u00e9ziers is een snelgroeiende stad die de authenticiteit en rust van mediterrane dorpen heeft weten te behouden, terwijl het een dynamische lokale levensstijl biedt. Met zijn erfgoed, natuurlijke omgeving en nabijheid van grote wegen is Villeneuve-l\u00e8s-B\u00e9ziers een ideale plek om te wonen, met een combinatie van traditie en
