Météo France has placed the Hérault département under orange vigilance for thunderstorms and rain/flooding from 10pm on Wednesday 27 August 2025, and under yellow vigilance for rain/flooding from 8pm on Wednesday 27 August.
Tonight, the whole of the Hérault département will be swept by strong thunderstorms from west to east.
These thunderstorms could give up to 50 mm of rain in 1 hour. These thunderstorms will be accompanied by strong gusts of wind of up to 80 km/h, hail and strong electrical activity. Rainfall totals are expected to be between 80 and 100mm.
⚠️ Extreme vigilance is recommended during this event, particularly in terms of traveland fords in particular.
