Renewal of the Centre Communal d'Action Sociale Board of Directors

Following the municipal elections on 15 March 2026, the Board of Directors of the Centre Communal d'Action Sociale (CCAS) will be renewed. The CCAS runs a general prevention and social development programme in close liaison with public and private institutions.

The CCAS is a public administrative body with legal personality under public law and its own budget.

In accordance with Articles L.123-6, R.123-11 and R.123-12 of the French Social Action and Family Code :

The CCAS Board of Directors is made up of an equal number of elected municipal representatives and people appointed by the Mayor from among those «involved in social, prevention and development activities in the Commune».

▪ These persons must include at least:

  • a representative of family associations appointed on the recommendation of the Union Départementale des Associations Familiales,
  • a representative of associations working to promote inclusion and combat social exclusion,
  • a representative of the department's associations for the elderly and retired,
  • a representative of associations for people with disabilities in the department,

▪ How to apply

The associations concerned can nominate people to represent them on the CCAS Board of Directors.

Each association must submit a list of at least three candidates, unless duly justified as being unable to do so.

▪ Candidacy requirements

Nominees must :

  • be mandated by their association, whose head office must be in the département,
  • take part in preventive, promotional or social development initiatives in the community,
  • not be a supplier of goods or services to the CCAS or have a service relationship with it,
  • not be a member of the municipal council.

▪ Deadline and method of submission

Applications should be sent to the Mayor no later than Monday 6 April 2026 :

  • by registered post with acknowledgement of receipt for the attention of the Mayor
  • or delivered directly to the Town Hall 1 Rue de la Marianne 34420 VILLENEUVE-LES-BEZIERS against acknowledgement of receipt,
