Smoking banned in new public places from 1 July 2025

To protect the very young, smoking is banned in public places.

This ban will now be extended to new outdoor areas where children and adolescents are present or exposed.

Since 1^er July 2025, smoking is therefore banned in the following places during opening hours or periods:

public parks and gardens ;
beaches bordering bathing waters ;
bus shelters and covered passenger waiting areas ;
In the vicinity of schools, colleges, lycées and other places intended for the reception, training or accommodation of minors;
open spaces and areas around libraries, swimming pools, stadiums and sports facilities.
