Météo France has placed the Hérault département under yellow SMS alert (weather conditions to be monitored) for thunderstorms and flooding on Thursday 6 November 2025, between 12 noon and midnight.
Over the whole of the episode, rainfall totals of 40 to 70 mm are expected to be widespread and locally 80 mm, up to 100-120 mm on the hills from the Minervois to the Espinouse.
Wind gusts could reach 80 km/h along the coast.
Extreme vigilance is recommended during this event, particularly when travelling.
