Villeneuve-lès-Béziers Town Council is organising.., 26 April 2026 at 11.00 am, a ceremony to mark thehe National Day for the Victims and Heroes of the Deportation.
This moment of remembrance will be held at War memorial in the old cemetery, The ceremony was attended by elected representatives, veterans' associations and local residents.
A wreath-laying ceremony and a minute's silence will honour the memory of those who suffered in the deportation camps, as well as those who resisted oppression.
Through this commemoration, the town council is reaffirming its commitment to the duty of remembrance and the transmission of history, so that such tragedies never happen again.
The public is invited to attend the ceremony.
